The final day of the Democratic National Convention at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, had a theme of change. Events included the reading of party resolutions, and tributes to the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., and to retired generals. The featured speaker was former Vice President Al Gore. The evening culminated with the acceptance speech of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
