Senator-elect Obama spoke to supporters about his victory in the campaign for U.S. Senate from Illinois. Mr. Obama will replace retiring Senator Pete Fitzgerald. He defeated Republican candidate Alan Keyes by a large margin. Mr. Obama thanked his supporters for their efforts and noted his appreciation for the hard work of his staff, family, and friends. Election results were shown at the bottom of the screen.
