Senator Barack Obama spoke to veterans at an annual meeting of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He responded to Senator McCain’s previous day criticism of his position on Iraq policy and called on his opponent to end personal attacks. He outlined his views on the most important foreign policy issues facing the nation and stated that continuing involvement in Iraq is hurting the U.S. at home and abroad.
